Moms and kids shop at new resident store

Vision House moms and kids came to the grand opening of our resident store this week. Families were excited and so appreciative to be able to shop for free. Mothers picked out clothing, shoes and household items for themselves as well as their children. One of the women found several pairs of pants that she plans to use for job interviews. The children were excited to pick out brand new shoes (thanks to a large donation from a major local retailer). One little boy was having a hard time finding a pair that fit because he didn’t know what size he wore because it had been so long since he had bought new shoes. But a volunteer helped him and he came away with a brand new pair of tennis shoes. The smiles on all their faces as they walked away with their clothes and new shoes was heart warming! We're grateful to everyone who donates gently used or new items for our resident store. We need more boys clothes, so if you have any to donate, please contact Kristi at kristis@vision-house.org or 425-228-6356.
